r/worldnews – Coronavirus: New community case of COVID-19 in New Zealand

It’s the second. And I’d say until we have a viable vaccine which is administered to the public we can expect to have the occasional case popping up. I’d like to say until the rest if the world gets its shit together, but that ain’t happening anytime soon.

This case won’t become a major cluster, the dude was exceptionally diligent about hygiene and reduced interaction with people even while we are at our lowest level restrictions. The Covid team did a very impressive job as well. tested same day as symptoms arrived, results hours later, close contacts were contacted hours after the test was done and they are using cctb footage and our covid app to track and trace any unknown close contacts.

Fucking A++ response
